The Top Ten Shows

In case you aren't quite sure which show you want to see, here is a list of our personal recommendations. These shows are the ones you really shouldn't miss!

1. Hairspray

hairspray
Possibly the happiest musical to ever enter the West End, this is guarenteed to leave you smiling and singing along afterwards. The songs, cast and the shows inherent wittiness mean that Hairspray gets the top spot!

2. Billy Elliot
Based on the hit film, this musical has unrivalled choreography. A little tongue-in-cheek in places, and with songs by Sir Elton John, this is thoroughly recommended. But be warned- this musical is not without the odd swear word!

3. Wicked

Another Broadway sensation to storm the West End, this musical has everything. Great songs, great choreography, and an original story. People who weren't necessarily fans of the Wizard of Oz should not be put-off, you don't need to love Oz in order to love this musical!

4. Lion King

lionking Currently the only Disney production in the West End, the Lion King is one of the best musicals visually with incredible costumes and set design which will leave you awestruck. This musical is stunning. Plus, its one all of the family will enjoy.

5. Les Miserables

The world's longest running musical with good reason! With a score that plays from beginning to end, the music and vocals are simply beautiful. A classical musical for those who like a bit more guts and emotion over the colourfulness of many West End shows.

6 Sister Act

Sister Act The show is absolutely brilliant- if you want a feel-good night out, this is just the musical! The music was fabalous, Great performances. Its the feel good show of the summer! With Whoopi Goldberg co- producing it, what else could you expect?

7.We Will Rock You
Incredibly tongue-in-cheek and much more like a gig than a musical, this Queen musical is brilliant entertainment. Great fun to see as a group, and you don't even need to be a Queen fan. This is the sort of musical you can see over and over again and never get bored!

8. Blood Brothers

An incredibly humorous and emotional musical, with a sharp and witty script. This has been running for 20 years and audiences keep going back for more. Definitely one for those who like a strong story with their musical but be warned- this musical is known to be a bit of a tearjerker!

9. Mamma Mia
